F.A.Q.’S

• How is Scholarship given? - Once Winner of Scholarship is selected we will contact the art-supply store of winner’s choice to purchase a gift card or credit in their name.

• Are these private funds or is their an organization behind this Scholarship? - These funds are not supplied by a corporation, non-profit or any other sort of organization. This is scholarship is being provided by Annie Free with money she has made from selling her own artwork.

• Who will decide the winner? - In order to make sure all applicants are considered fairly and seen through a variety of eyes and points of view, Annie has put together a panel of 7 BIPOC creative professionals. Several members of this panel also identify as LGBTQIAP.

• What are “Epic Positive Vibes” ? - We have received this question a lot and it makes us giggle, because it is one of those things that is hard to answer. What we are looking for is Positivity! That is completely open to interpretation, but we know it when we see it and hope you do too!

• Do I have to live in the United States to enter? - We had no idea how far this scholarship would reach when we posted it. Now that we have been flooded with hundreds and hundreds of applicants, we have decided to limit the Scholarship to residents on the United States only.

• What do you mean by “traditional mediums”? - We are not considering any art that is strictly computer generated (digital photography, graphic arts, ipad drawings, etc are all eliminated from entry). This scholarship is an “Artist Supplies” scholarship meant for painters who need paint and canvas, muralists who need paint, people that draw or collage and need paper, charcoal, pastels and glue, ceramicists in need of clay and glaze, etc. If you are not 100% sure if your art qualifies, ask yourself if your art is made by your own hands, without the use of a computer or tablet. If you are on the fence and not totally sure, you can always email us and ask.

• Do Dance, Singing or film making qualify? - While these are all important forms of art, we are not considering these mediums for this particular scholarship.

• What do you do with the artwork that is submitted to you? - We will never use or share your artwork in any way. If your submission is not chosen, we will simply delete your email. Your information will not be added to a list, shared or sold in any way to anyone.
